Week with Mom

My mom came and stayed for a week with me in my apartment up at school and it was so much fun. We went out to eat a lot, cooked in my little kitchen together, celebrated my 21st, and got to see old Singapore friends!

Bean Museum!!!

Anyone who really knows me knows I have an OBSESSION with the Bean Museum. I dont know what it is about it but going there just gives me a rush. It makes me so excited for some reason! And I never get sick of it! So, of course while my mom was visiting we took a trip there. My mom used to do taxidermy!

Blackburn Reunion

In June we had a Blackburn family reunion in St. George. It was so fun to see family that I hadn't see in a while and to get a way from Provo for a bit. We stayed in a little town home there and had a lot of fun playing games, swimming, and celebrating mine and Denise's b-days at an amazing sushi restaurant where they gave us our dinner for free!!

Cal's Bachelorette Party

We went to Applebees for one last night of the five of us being single ladies! It was so fun. I love these girls. FOR LIFE! We couldn't resist doing the face game while we waited for our food.. Ha.

Kelly Clarkson!!

Me, Lace, and Jos went to the Kelly Clarkson concert at UVU with Lindsay and her cute roomies and it was SO GOOD! I loooove her. She was so good live! It rained and we had to wait so long for her to play so we took soooo many pictures:) Ha.

 

Scripture Power!

Yesterday I had the chance to "recharge my spiritual batteries" as I've once heard it called. I'll be honest, waking up at 4:30 every morning has started to take its toll on me and last week I felt really drained and almost numb but yesterday church was wonderful and I had a lot of time for study and reflection and thats all it took to rejuvinate me and get me ready for another week! I LOVE Sundays! Yesterday in one of the girl's testimonies, she talked about the primary song, "scripture power" and that night as I studied I truly felt the power it brought back into me. If only everything could be as clear and simple as primary songs:

Everytime I set aside adequate time for reading my scriptures I'm reminded of the promises in this sweet little song!

BBQ/Baby Bonfire

We had a BBQ with some friends at Alpine Village on Wednesday night. So fun!

The Girlies

The boys played guitars and bongos while freestyling. It was sweet. 
Poor Jos getting engulfed by the smoke. I swear it followed us wherever we were sitting. and my hair PERMANENTLY smells like campfire since we had a bonfire last weekend too. 

Lace stuffing a HUGE  marshmallow in her mouth. Jos and Lindsay were quite amused..
